Is it time to look back, with a focus on the future? What habits, decisions, or tendencies have limited your career growth in the past? The most important things that a coach can help you do are learn, grow, and change. When you have a setback, perhaps there is something to learn, a gift for the future.
"So go ahead and make mistakes. Make all you can.
Because that's where you will find success. On the far side of failure."
Thomas J. Watson, Sr.
Everyone makes mistakes, but not everyone learns from them. It’s a big person who is humble enough to want to improve their future based on the problems of the past. It might be something subtle like procrastination, or something overt like anger. Some people don’t believe in their heart that they deserve to succeed. Others aren’t willing to wait and work toward their goals, they want it all right now.
The point isn’t to find fault and lose confidence. The focus is the learning and wisdom that comes from wanting to improve.
Some people think you will never change, never improve, never succeed. Your coach thinks those guys are dead wrong. You will fight the good fight, learn from the past, and create a wonderful future!
